# Stop Suicide

The concrete benefits of migrating from WordPress to **Statamic**.

## Why Stop Suicide left WordPress for Statamic

The Swiss association Stop Suicide, which has been involved in youth suicide prevention for over 20 years, needed to modernize its website following a complete overhaul of its visual identity. The old site, based on WordPress, no longer met current requirements: limited performance, perfectible security, and complex content management.

To meet these challenges, Octoplus Solutions proposed a migration to Statamic, a modern, secure CMS better suited to the association's needs.

This strategic choice enabled us to create a site that was more fluid, faster and, above all, easier for internal teams to administer.

## Statamic: faster, safer, more intuitive

The switch from WordPress to Statamic has transformed the user experience for both visitors and administrators.

Based on Laravel, a PHP framework renowned for its robustness, Statamic offers enhanced security, avoiding the frequent vulnerabilities associated with WordPress plugins.

What's more, Statamic's database-free (flat-file) nature means faster loading times, which not only enhances the user experience but also natural search engine optimization (SEO).

Thanks to a clear, intuitive management interface, the Stop Suicide teams can now publish and update their content with a high degree of autonomy, without dependence on extensions or a technical service provider.

## A modern CMS to support an essential mission

By adopting Statamic as its new CMS, Stop Suicide now benefits from a modern, scalable website in line with its awareness-raising objectives.

Octoplus Solutions supports the association in the technical monitoring of the site, security updates and functional evolution according to the needs of future campaigns.

This case study demonstrates that migrating from WordPress to Statamic is not just a technical choice, but a strategic decision for organizations seeking performance, simplicity and security.

For organizations wishing to switch to a more flexible and reliable CMS, the Stop Suicide example is a concrete demonstration of the advantages of Statamic over the limitations of WordPress.
