Challenge
The Pharmacy of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) had an informational module allowing healthcare professionals to access detailed information on the use of medications, from their administration to their storage. Unfortunately, this module was becoming obsolete.
Drupal
As part of a strategy to standardize their various web platforms, HUG decided to adopt Drupal as the single solution for managing their digital content. This transition meant that the old module would no longer function and had to be completely redesigned to integrate with Drupal. Octoplus Solutions was therefore tasked with developing a new module to be fully compatible with this new architecture while ensuring continuity in access to essential medical information.
Autonomy
Thanks to this new module, the HUG pharmacy now has full control over the content, allowing it to manage its own structure. This autonomy was a key element of the project, and Octoplus Solutions ensured that the module was designed to be easily manageable by HUG's internal teams. This technological independence guarantees efficient and sustainable management of the module while ensuring optimal continuity of service for healthcare professionals.
Solution and Results
Octoplus Solutions carried out a complete overhaul of the module while optimizing its interface to improve user experience. Thanks to this update, the module is now integrated with HUG’s digital tool standards, ensuring seamless and structured access to essential information. This transition has facilitated the dissemination of best medical practices, thereby enhancing efficiency and safety in the use and prescription of medications.
