Practise before the real conversation

An unhappy customer, a difficult performance review, a tense negotiation: these situations are mostly learned by living through them. KymerIA lets people prepare without risk, by talking out loud with a counterpart simulated by artificial intelligence.

The concept comes from the project's founder. Octoplus Solutions helped refine it and developed the platform.

Personas created by managers

KymerIA is a multi-tenant platform: each organisation has its own space, kept separate from the others. Managers create personas there, each with a personality, a context and a goal, then assign them to team members based on the skills they need to work on.

Each company builds scenarios that reflect its own reality rather than generic exercises.

A spoken conversation, just like the real thing

The user speaks into their microphone, and their words appear as a message in the conversation. The persona replies both in writing and out loud. The exchange plays out like a real discussion, with a written record on top.

The technical challenge: a voice conversation without dead air

Every time someone speaks, five steps follow one another: microphone capture in the browser, transcription by Whisper, reply generation by GPT, speech synthesis by Google Text-to-Speech, then playback in the browser. If each step waits for the previous one to finish, the silences grow longer and the exchange loses all its natural feel.

To avoid this, the reply audio is streamed: playback starts with the first fragments, without waiting for the whole reply to be synthesised. A dedicated Node.js service orchestrates these streams between the browser and the models, while the application itself runs on Laravel and SvelteKit.

Instant feedback, data stored in Switzerland

At the end of each simulation, KymerIA gives a score and detailed feedback: what went well, what went less well and how to improve. Users know straight away what to work on next time.

Training conversations often contain sensitive information about a company and its people. All platform data is stored in Switzerland.
